How you create meaningful change in healthcare 

As Head of Software Engineering, you’ll be at the heart of our mission. Our software team is the connecting force across all departments, making or breaking our ability to scale. It powers everything from our scanning technology and fitting algorithms to production workflows. It has a direct impact on the quality of our products and, ultimately, the lives we improve. Working closely with our CTO, Head of R&D, and the digital leadership team, you’ll drive both the product vision and the people leadership that allow Manometric to expand its impact across markets and patients.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead a growing team of software engineers, ensuring they are motivated, supported, and set up for success. From shaping the product roadmap to making clear calls on priorities, you’ll guide the team toward higher speed and quality of delivery. Day to day, you’ll balance people leadership with product management: mentoring developers, recruiting new talent, and making sure our software aligns with the needs of patients, clinicians, and the business.

In your first six months, you’ll speed up development, help grow the team by hiring multiple new developers, and ensure decision-making is fast and effective. Within twelve months, your leadership will enable us to take on bigger ambitions: building custom software for the German market, creating smarter 3D scanning flows for lower limbs, and giving patients more control. From scheduling to feedback. You’ll be the go-to person for new projects, working hand in hand with Martijn (CTO), Daan (Head of R&D), and Pieter (Founder).

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a decisive, energetic leader who thrives in a fast-growing, scale-up environment. Someone who:

• Has proven experience as both a product manager and a team lead in software engineering

• Brings startup or scale-up experience

• Has a track record of successfully managing roadmaps and prioritization

• Is a strong communicator who listens well and inspires others

• Is curious, decisive, and able to drive clear, timely decision-making

• Has successfully built and led high-performing teams

• Bonus: experience with hardware and/or healthcare

• Speaks fluent English (Dutch is a plus)
